We reimagined the geometric patterns found across Doha as snow-like forms, connecting the landscapes we carry from Japan with the spirit of this city. A new landscape, born from cultural exchange here in Doha. カタール・ドーハ、Al Aziziyah 地区にて壁画を完成させました。 制作期間は約1週間。朝から日没まで続く想定外の強い日差しと時差ぼけの中、かなり過酷なスケジュールでの制作になりましたが、街角ではインドや南アジアからの労働者の人々が賑やかに行き交い、夕方になると街全体にアザーン（礼拝の呼びかけ）が響き渡り、その音と生活の気配に包まれながら、多くの温かな出会いと、新鮮な街の活気に支えられました。 今回は、ここには存在しない想像の風景を持ち込みたいと思い、ドーハの街で見られる幾何学模様を雪のようなかたちとして捉え、舞い降る雪と、湧き出る泉のように、日本から私たちが携えてきた風景と、この街の文化の空気感をつなぎました。 また、17歳の息子もアシスタントとして参加して、時に地べたに腰を下ろしながら過ごした制作の時間は、単なる作業ではなく、場所や人、時間と向き合う行為なのだと、あらためて感じさせてくれました。 📍 Al Aziziyah, Zone 55, Doha, State of Qatar. 185 Al Aziziya St. × 67 Mousa Bin Hafs St. Heartfelt thanks to Dimitrije, Alya, @worldwidewallsdoha @qatar_museums @worldwidewalls @jotunqatar #WorldWideWallsDoha #QatarMuseums #HITOTZUKI #mural #publicart
