カタール・ドーハにて壁画制作を行いました。
本プロジェクトは、Qatar Museumsのサポートのもと実施され、国際ミューラルプロジェクト WORLD WIDE WALLS DOHA の一環として、ドーハ市内 Al Aziziyah 地区の公共空間を舞台に、約1週間の制作期間をかけて完成しました。
本作では、この土地には存在しない「雪」や「泉」といった想像上の風景をモチーフに、ドーハの街に見られる幾何学模様と、日本から携えてきた記憶や感覚を重ね合わせながら、場所と文化のあいだに立ち上がる新たな風景を試みています。
HITOTZUKI created a new mural in Doha, Qatar.
This project was realized with the support of Qatar Museums and as part of the international mural project WORLD WIDE WALLS DOHA.
The mural was completed over approximately one week in a public space in the Al Aziziyah district of Doha.
The work explores an imaginary landscape inspired by elements such as “snow” and “springs,” which do not exist in this region. By layering geometric patterns found in the city of Doha with memories and sensations carried from Japan, the mural attempts to create a new landscape that emerges between place and culture.
